COMPASSION

Every home has a story, and they are as vast and varied as the world is wide. But they all start with inspiration, and inspiration starts with our surroundings. That’s what home is. Family. Friends. A sense of place. An amazing view. It is all part of what makes a space a home because your home is where you truly live. As homeowners ourselves we understand that your best life begins with a home that inspires you.

“If it doesn’t open. It’s not your door.”

— Unkown

Isn’t it fascinating that we spend more of our life entering or exiting doorways? Just going about our daily life… Yet, we all have had or continue to have that metaphorical door that doesn’t open. We tighten our grip on the handle, shake it, lean against it with all our might, and waste all our energy here. We struggle, become stuck, and we suffer.

But what if we could sit down on the curb on the opposite side of the street, take a breathe of care through our distress, look at the door from a distance, and ask ourselves “How does persisting serve me in my life right now?” What if we took time to acknowledge the unintended consequences this has on our mental/physical health and overall quality of life?

Let’s seize the opportunity and drop the struggle, embrace our journey, and live our life fully. You see, when we accept that the door is not meant for us we are no longer stuck in suffering mode.  Be disappointed, be frustrated, feel your feelings… Then you must stand up, take a deep breathe, walk away from the door, trust the process, and know that the right door is right around the corner.

In the meantime, we live for the present and focus on the life that is important to us now.
