Farmhouse Master Bedroom Inspiration

According to HGTV “Joanna and Chip Gaines were “proud as punch” of the 800-square-foot home they transformed after they married in 2003, as Jo noted on Instagram, and that pride eventually grew into a mission to “[make] Waco beautiful one home at a time.” After diving headfirst into the home design and renovation world, Jo’s blog detailing their projects caught the eye of an HGTV producer in 2012, and the rest, as they say, is history. Fixer Upper’s five seasons have been smash hits, and fans all over the world are smitten with everything from their renovation projects to the sprawling family life they’ve cultivated in Texas.

The Farmhouse look has grown into a national design craze. Everything from reclaimed wood, shiplap walls, burlap pillows, wood floors, old rusty junk repurposed into art has set the design world on fire. Just loo at ETSY and see for yourself the hundreds of thousands of artists, designers pimping out rustic found, created, built farmhouse decor. This week decided to focus on one are we love most in the home. The master bedroom and fill it with farmhouse inspiration.

The approach here is we have scoured the web to find some amazing inspired farmhouse bedrooms and we are sharing them here and showing you how easy it is to recreate the look for yourself.

1. Master Retreat One

White and grey seem to lead the way when it comes to the color palette in farmhouse decor. That is true with this bedroom. Here the focal point of the room is the massive distressed bed covered in layers of white and accented with a few earthy colored pillows and a strongly contrasting black and white blanket. We love the black iron mirror which ties in perfectly with the blanket. The rug looks old but doesn’t have to be to bring the same warm feeling into the room. A simple side table with a stack of books, a plant, and two attached black iron lamps finish the room perfectly.

There are many different directions you can go with rugs. If you are going with the above grey and white color palette then this one works perfectly. It measures 9×12 and brings a nice warm comfortable farmhouse feel to the room. Buy it here

In this room, we can see the bedding itself is the focal point and really brings the warm old rustic feeling to the bedroom. Finding just the right muted bedding set is important in setting the stage. Adding a nice matching throw blanket and stark black side tables make the room pop. The vintage side table lights again bring the feeling of old to the room. And of course, the chandelier adds just the right amount of elegance and sophistication.

We want the powder room to feel spacious. inviting and warm. We have always felt the gust bathroom is the place to wow your guests. Make it something really special. We always go for a hotel inspired theme. Always high-end. Start with a simple bouquet of dried Fall flowers. Replacing with fresh flowers when you have company. Where there is wall space there is opportunity. Wreaths in all kinds of sizes, colors, and themes are a big hit during the fall months. We actually change out our wreaths for every season. What would normally be used has a coat hanger doubles as a wreath and art holder. Laying a twig on top is a perfect way to add personality. Installing your coat rack just above a stool, bench or table is another great idea for creating a Fall inspired scene in a corner or section of the home.

8. Setting The table

The dining room is perhaps the most impactful place to set a theme for the season. We change out or table setting on just about every occasion we can. Sometimes just for fun we change it up so when guests come over they are always seeing something new and different. For Fall you do not have to go the traditional orange, yellow, browns  and red colors. instead lean into grey, green, olive, taupe and other earthy colors. Utilizing these colors the table will look for sophisticated and elegant.  IN this scene the table setting consists of mint green plates, with light brown checkered napkins. The centerpiece is really the show stopper and should be for your table. Bringing together a variety of dried flowers in green colors with white and adding white candles give this setting a nice formal sitting. All set against a farm to table wood dining table sure to last a lifetime.
